Unlike the prevailing notion that craps is difficult considering the number of bets and ways that one can play for, it’s actually very easy. It should be mentioned that casino dealers are always happy to answer questions if you so need help.
For starters, it is played on a long table with high sides where all you have to do is find a spot on the table, ask the dealer for change and place your bet in a spot where there are no numbers.
If there are plastic buttons placed on the spots with numbers that means there are other people who are betting, and you’ll have to wait your turn until the player make the number of sevens out.
When you turn does come, check for the minimum bet and place that amount on the pass line while throwing two dice underhand and sideways in such a way that they hit the back wall of the table.
That’s all you need to do to get started playing craps where you don’t have to shoot in order to play. You can also make the same bets when you aren’t shooting either.
Now on the very first roll, if it’s a 7 or 11, the person wins. Conversely, if it’s a 2, 3 or 12 they lose. Any other number, such as 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 and 10 will become the shooter’s point and everyone else who rolls the dice next will need to get the shooter’s point before they can roll the dice for a total of 7 or 11 for the win.
That’s playing craps, in a nutshell!
