Nick Petrangelo has always been a player to watch out for. He had emerged as both an online and live talent for several years now. However, before Season 10 of the European Poker Tour in Prague, his results had been quite shy. This is perhaps why the Europeans did not have much information about this player who represented a potential threat to them.
Right before the beginning of 2015, Petrangelo had collected over 400 thousand dollars in live results. This amount was staggering in itself. However, for the first quarter of this year, the player has already amassed over $700,000. This feat has already been considered a breakout for live players. Petrangelo still has eight more months to go to amaze with better results.
Petrangelo had finished the year 2014 on a positive notes, having had excellent results in two events of $10,000 each. Last November, he was a contender at the Poker Tour Montreal and got out at the seventh place in a High Roller game. Another notable achievement was his 16th position secured in the Five Diamond World Poker Classic in December.
In interviews Petrangelo stated that he had traveled a lot in 2014, striving to play more and becoming at ease with the game. He is aiming to improve his game and go even deeper in securing top positions in major tournaments. The rise in confidence must have contributed to his great start in 2015 where he notably came out as one of the best performers at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure.
