South Point’s online poker website, Real Gaming has officially been granted the permission by Nevada’s Gaming Commission enabling them to widen their marketing reach. This new status makes the site the third poker room online to have a fully operational license. This has been a long time coming for Michael Gaughan who was aspiring to become a feature of the Nevadan poker industry for a long time.
The site initially started as SouthPointPoker.com in 2011 and has struggled to be able to offer their users with the possibility of playing for real money in the state of Nevada. According to the Gaming Control Board which met in Carson City to analyze Real Gaming’s soft launch results, the prospects seem good. Real Gaming will partner with payment processor Pay Near Me for the payment options on the site.
Other online poker rooms to possess a fully operational license in the state of Nevada are Ultimate Poker by Station Casinos and WSOP.com by Caesar Interactive Entertainment which gained their license in April and September 2013 respectively. This news announces the end of Real Gaming’s eight months of test phase during which they were focusing their marketing efforts on existing South Point customers. Their newly granted status would now allow them to expand further on the market and welcome new players to their site.
